The TEDx event is proudly hosted by Covenant University in Ota, Nigeria, infusing the campus environment with a vibrant atmosphere of ideas and inspiration.
What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxCovenant University, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxCovenant University event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

The Technology, Entertainment, and Design in Covenant University (TEDxCovenant University) aims to, through a diverse and enabling platform inspire and challenge Covenant University students to push the boundaries of Technology, Innovation and Creativity in proffering indigenous solutions. It is proudly hosted by Covenant University in Ota, Nigeria, infusing the campus environment with a vibrant atmosphere of ideas and inspiration.
Annually
the event adopts a unique theme, attracting compelling speakers who share ideas resonating with the chosen theme.

Our History
TEDxCovenant University had its first conference in 2016, organized by the university student community to promote, enlighten, encourage and celebrate ingenuity, creativity, and indigenous knowledge from industry experts and professionals to the undergraduate community. It’s vision is to create an enabling student environment for the evolution of practical sustainable, and innovative solutions to Nigerian problems. See us on the official TED website below.
TEDxCovenant University 2024
The theme of this edition is ‘Create’. It is aimed at driving creativity and innovation in the minds of all attendees through insightful talks by industry leaders from various areas of human endeavors such as social entrepreneurship, design, fashion, technology, science, music, culinary, and so on.
